The secret behind the names of Bocci lights
The portfolio of extraordinary, sculptural lights is constantly growing. The works are not given names; instead, each project or experiment receives a continuous number, although not every idea is implemented in series production.
However, the different designs often build on each other, old ideas are developed further and modified with new methods. This reveals a common thread running through the designs and ensures coherence for the viewer.
Arbel and his collective of designers, glassblowers, chemists, engineers and architects explore experimental production methods that allow materials to behave according to their natural properties, thus revealing unexpected qualities of glass, metal, concrete, fire, electricity and much more.
The result are lights in unique, sculptural forms. They can be used individually, but also attract attention in multiple combinations.

When you look at them, you immediately realize that they are not just lights, they are individual works of art, because each light is unique due to the manufacturing process and has different characteristics such as shapes, reflections, structure and grain.
sarto – Tailored Interiors shows various Bocci installations, including series 28, 84, 118, 141 and many more at RUBY Design Living, dopo domani and also Herrendorf.
