Christophe Delcourt – The Focus on Material and Craftsmanship
Christophe Delcourt founded his eponymous studio in Paris in the late 1990s. The French designer is now one of the defining voices in contemporary design, consciously moving between architecture, craftsmanship, and furniture design.
His work stems from a clear philosophy. Delcourt doesn't see furniture as isolated objects but as part of a larger spatial context. His designs are closely linked to architecture and follow a precise exploration of proportion, volume, and material.
From the beginning, Christophe Delcourt has worked closely with specialized craft businesses.
Each piece bearing the stamp of the Delcourt Collection is, first and foremost, an expression of continuity between the designer's hand and the craftsman's: French excellence that prefers restraint over showy effects, yet has become a true signature.

The Love of Material
Delcourt deliberately uses natural materials and consistently demonstrates his love for wood as a basic material.
The greatest strength of the designs lies in their individual adaptability, allowing them to better integrate into various living spaces. This approach leads to designs with a high tactile quality that develop a calm, lasting presence in the room through their materiality.
At Herrendorf, we showcase selected pieces by Christophe Delcourt that particularly highlight this approach.
