The UNBOUND collection by GUBI responds to Space Copenhagen's desire to create a lamp that is both practical and poetic. The traditional Japanese paper lantern, which in its reduced form strikes a balance between aesthetics and functionality, is challenged here with playful asymmetry to break the conventions of typology.
The UNBOUND table lamp has a round marble base that acts like an anchor, around which the shade can be effortlessly rotated as if it were a sail. The lamp is suitable for both private living areas and public projects.
