Gio Ponti (1891–1979) was an Italian architect, designer, artist and writer who is considered one of the most influential designers of the 20th century.

Ponti was also an innovative furniture designer and collaborated with various manufacturers, including Cassina and Molteni. His furniture is characterized by clean lines, functional forms, and a harmonious color palette.
