The Capitol Complex Office Chair by Cassina is a re-edition of the famous design by Swiss architect and furniture designer Pierre Jeanneret. The Office Chair was created between 1958 and 1959 when Jeanneret, together with his famous cousin Le Corbusier, supervised numerous projects in the Indian city of Chandigarh. Pierre Jeanneret was largely responsible for the interior design, and especially the chair design. A special compositional scheme, which can be found in other furnishings from the Capitol Complex family, is the "V"-shaped support. Le Corbusier's Capitol Complex government building was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2016.
