Edra – The Collection

Edra did not rely on established names and safe recipes for success. The company sought new ideas and people willing to push the boundaries of the familiar.

Shortly after its founding, an extraordinary coup was achieved: the collaboration with Zaha Hadid. Numerous extraordinary authors and artists followed.

Foremost among them is Francesco Binfaré, whose collaboration with Edra began in 1992 and significantly shaped the company's development. With projects like L’Homme et la Femme, Angels, Flap, On the Rocks, Standard, Pack and Grande Soffice, he created furniture that not only impresses with its form but also with its ability to adapt to people.
The latest product of this collaboration is the Anywhere Sofa.

Another extraordinary chapter is written by Fernando and Humberto Campana. These Brazilian artists were known for transforming ordinary materials and everyday objects into something entirely new. Their collaboration with Edra began in 1998 with the Vermelha Chair. Later, iconic seating furniture such as Boa, Cipria, Corallo, Favela and Grinza were created.

Edra – What makes the brand special?

With Edra, a rope can become a sofa. A plastic tube can become part of an armchair. Fabric scraps can become a sculptural surface. And materials one would normally never associate with luxury furniture can suddenly create something unique.

Edra has always been a laboratory – a "dream factory" where ideas are more important than conventions and prototypes more important than rapid mass production.
