The Astep Le Sfere Model 2109/16/20 pendant light in black is a lovingly revived icon of Italian design. Inspired by the soft light of the moon, Gino Sarfatti created a collection in the 1970s that Astep has now given a modern reissue. Each light consists of one or more spheres of blown opal glass that emit a pleasant, diffused light, creating a harmonious atmosphere. The Le Sfere model 2109/16/20 consists of 16 glass balls with black aluminum rings. Each glass ball has a diameter of 20 cm.

Design Gino Sarfatti

Gino Sarfatti (1912–1985) was an Italian designer and lighting designer, considered one of the pioneers of modern lamp design. He founded the company Arteluce in 1939, which became known for its innovative and functional lighting solutions. Sarfatti combined technical expertise with aesthetic flair and created numerous iconic lamps, often made of materials such as metal, glass, and plastic.

Gino Sarfatti designed numerous iconic lamps throughout his career that are still treasured today. Sarfatti's lamps can often be found in modern design museums as well as in many private collections. His work has not only influenced lighting technology but also expanded the general understanding of space and light in architecture and interior design.
