In 1951, Bernard Schottlander created the elegant and delicate Mantis lamp series, drawing inspiration from a praying mantis. As an artist, engineer, and not least a craftsman, he developed a sophisticated system of weights combined with a series of strong and flexible metal rods. His creations are a play of balance and gravity, resulting in fascinating objects characterized by their graceful nature.
The original BS2 prototype was smaller - DCW has now decided to produce it under the name 'BS2 Mini'.
