Zanat is a design-oriented manufacturer of handcrafted furniture and furnishings produced in collaboration with some of the most prominent international designers and architects of our time. Zanat is based on a centuries-old family business, famous in the Balkans for producing exquisite hand-carved furniture and furnishings. The woodcarving tradition, which originated in the Bosnian city of Konjic, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Brothers Orhan and Adem Niksic decided to continue the fourth-generation family business and introduce a new approach to furniture design and production: an approach that emphasizes craftsmanship and demonstrates how traditional hand-carving techniques can inspire design, open up new possibilities, and contribute to sustainable production.
