Zanat Ombra Coffee Table | Maple Black

The Ombra coffee table by Zanat is a unique piece of furniture composed of tiny "Penrose prototiles" made of solid maple wood. These aperiodically arranged prototiles are named after the British mathematician Sir Roger Penrose and possess remarkable geometric and visual properties. The designer, Jasna Mujkic, skillfully arranged the prototiles, creating an abstract pattern on the tabletop reminiscent of a tree's shadow. The table is manufactured with sustainability in mind, utilizing wood scraps that would otherwise not be repurposed.
