Bocci – Poetic Light Objects with Sculptural Character

Bocci is known for its experimental luminaires that combine light, glass, and space in surprising ways.

Company founder and creative director is Omer Arbel. Many designers start with a finished drawing in their mind. They force the material into a specific shape. Omer Arbel takes the exact opposite approach. He is not a dictator of form, but an explorer.

The handcrafted objects from Canada appear like floating works of art and set emotional accents in interior design. Discover selected luminaires at RUBY Berlin or receive personal advice at dopo domani and Herrendorf. All Bocci luminaires are custom-made as individual compositions.

Bocci – The Collections

Each Bocci series is numbered and tells its own story. Particularly popular are:

  • Series 14 – Spheres of clear glass with an internal light source – a classic of poetic minimalism
  • Series 28 – Free-blown glass bodies with embedded color pigments
  • Series 73 – Cloud-like structures made of porcelain-fiberglass composite – sculptural and atmospheric
  • Series 118 – Numerous delicate, feather-like opal glass structures are hidden inside the glass shades
